Sid Sriram with Guest Jake Sherman Live from the Red Room
March 24, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Tune into birnCORE on Sunday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. for a live broadcast of the sold-out performance by singer-songwriter Sid Sriram with guest Jake Sherman at the Red Room at Cafe 939.
Singer-songwriter and producer Sid Sriram represents a collision point of radically different worlds. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in music production and engineering. It was at Berklee that he started exploring and building his own sound, a bold cross-section where pop, soul, his Indian classical roots, and alternative/ambient music clash vibrantly.
Sriram was raised on a dynamic, rich foundation of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music, a style that would become his creative framework and anchor. He grew up soaking in the music of legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Jeff Buckley, the Beatles, and Luther Vandross. These influences have defined his artistic evolution. With his work in Indian cinema soundtrack music resonating with millions, Sriram has developed an exponentially growing fan base. His live productions are exhilarating, engaging, and vulnerable; thousands of pack venues to experience his emotionally immersive shows. His debut LP, Entropy, comes out later this year.
Jake Sherman is a singer-songwriter, pianist, and producer from Boston. While attending Berklee, he met Nick Hakim, Daniel Woods, Jaime Woods, Jesse Scheinin, and David Fiuczynski, among others, and recorded on albums with all of them. He and Woods recorded on Chance the Rapper’s “No Problem,” which won two Grammys. He has written, produced, and played all of the instruments on his albums, including his most recent work, Jake Sherman Returns.
