Reid Genauer plays Cafe 939

Tune in to birnCORE on Saturday, February 15 at 8:00 p.m. for a live broadcast from the Red Room @ Cafe 939 featuring singer-songwriter Reid Genauer.

Reid Genauer is bringing his own unique version of folk to Boston with guest performances from Béla Fleck, John Scofield, and Mike Gordon. Genauer first hit the national stage with the band Strangefolk in the mid 1990s. He went on to cement his reputation as a prolific songsmith and band leader, fronting a second grassroots success story—Assembly of Dust.

Assembly of Dust and Strangefolk showcase psychedelic-infused folk rock, and have been compared to Paul Simon; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; and the Band. Although Strangefolk leans toward a psychedelic sound and Assembly of Dust leans toward Americana, the backbone of both bands are Genauer’s trademark songs, characterized by crafted lyrics, American stories, and authentic vocal performances.
