Mo Lowda & Friends Unplugged and Kirby Sybert Live from The Red Room

July 20, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Tune in on Friday, July 20 at 8:00 p.m. EDT to birnCORE for a live broadcast from the Red Room featuring Mo Lowda & Friends and Kirby Sybert.

The alternative-rock band, Mo Lowda & Friends are known for their unique, progressive songwriting styles and their unique performances. They began their career in Philadelphia basements like many artists and bands trying to make it in the industry. They found a strong fan base in Temple University’s house party and campus bar scene. In the Fall of 2013, they released their debut album Curse The Weather. Not long after the release, Mo Lowda & Friends found themselves performing at more prominent venues in Philadelphia and gaining popularity outside of just Temple University’s community. They recently released their second album, Creatures, in March. They are on their summer tour, going all over the US and will be performing most of the songs on their new record.

Kirby Sybert is a director and musician, and singer-songwriter. He leads the band Kirby & The VibeTribe, producing “soulful sounds from another dimension.” With Kirby on guitar and vocals, Keaton Thandi on drums, Noah Skaroff on bass, John Hildenbrand on keys, and Becca Brunskill on vocals and jazz flute, the five-piece band that started as a casual jam-session creates a wall of sound from all sorts of musical influences. The band released their debut EP Feel The Vibe in 2017 and is now working on a full-length follow-up, an acoustic EP, a live album, a narrative film, mixed-media performances with other Philadelphia artists, and an instrumental orchestral album. Even with all of this in their future, they are still performing and wowing audiences with their flair for creativity and massive energy.
