Maddie Jay and Jackson Lundy play Cafe 939
October 25, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Tune in to birnCORE on Friday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m. for a live broadcast from the Red Room @ Cafe 939 featuring songwriter and producer Maddie Jay with special guest Jackson Lundy.
Refusing to accept the boundaries of genre, self-proclaimed bedroom producer Maddie Jay has created her own sound derived from her roots as a bass player. Her vintage inspired influences such as Harry Nilsson and the Beach Boys joined with psychedelic rock and lo-fi hip-hop references, gives her music a unique edge that captivates listeners.
Growing up in a thriving folk music community in northern British Columbia, Canada, Jay started honing her musicianship before graduating high school. At the age of 16, she attended five-week at Berklee College of Music for violin only to discover her interest in bass. She then went on to attend Berklee College of Music on scholarship and moved to LA to pursue a career as a “hired gun.” Finding pleasure working on her laptop on her days off, she began releasing music under her own name.
Hailing from New York City, singer-songwriter Jackson Lundy packs a powerful punch with his singable melodies and rhythmically engaging production. Lundy blends R&B, jazz, and neo-soul with his smooth and honest lyrics, making his music original and addicting to listen to.
The show starts at 8:00 p.m. EDT and you can stream it here.
