Hien Nguyen to Appear on BIRN Alive

Hien Nguyen is a Budapest born, indietronica singer-songwriter, with deep attachment to Hungarian folkloric melodies. With sounds of ethereal textures meshing with down-tempo electronic beats, she creates soulful minimalist vibes, using vocal loopers, samplers and audio effects accompanied by live instruments. Nguyen’s music contains an interesting duality of cultural influences that reach back to her upbringing in a Vietnamese family in Hungary.
Nguyen has already released two pop albums and has performed in various cities across Europe, Asia, and the U.S. She is attending Berklee on a full-ride scholarship and has received accolades including Glamour’s “Woman of the Year” and the Viva Comet award.
