December 8, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST

Tune into birnCORE on Saturday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. for a performance by neo-soul/R&B band Hablot Brown and Jackson Lundy live from the Red Room at Cafe 939.
The band, formerly known as Linus Hablot, brings an interesting blend of contrasting genres. Some of their main influences include Nick Hakim, Tom Misch, Ned Doheny, and J. Dilla.
In their first 12 months of releasing music, Hablot Brown was streamed over 7.7 million times on Spotify, in addition to being featured on playlists like Global Viral 50, Fresh Finds, Sweet Soul Sunday, Alternative R&B, and Sin Estres. The band just released their sophomore EP on the Soulection label and are gearing up to release three music videos along with several singles by the beginning of 2019.
Jackson Lundy is a singer-songwriter from New York whose music is a blend of R&B, jazz, and neo-soul. Mixing softer songwriting with hip-hop–inspired drums and 808 bass, Lundy’s music has a unique sound that can be played at a party or just on a long drive. His single “Calypso” has surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify and was no. 4 on the United States Viral list for a day.
