Tune in to BIRN1 on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm, for a live performance and interview with Boston indie rock band Palehound.
Palehound is the lo-fi indie rock project of Boston based singer-songwriter and guitarist, Ellen Kempner. Their debut EP, Bent Nail, is a mix of grunge-folk and 90’s influenced indie. It gained her enough attention to decide to drop out of school and record her first full length album, Dry Food.
Palehound followed up with A Place I’ll Always Go in 2017, an album about love and loss. Kempner says, “The album is also about learning how to find love, honestly, after loss.”
In January of 2018, Kemper released YMCA Pool, which consists of two singles that she previously couldn’t fit on an album. After touring with Bully, Alicia Bognanno offered to record with her at her house in Nashville, and the two songs were finally finished.
Palehound will be playing at The Sinclair this Friday, March 16 with Oompa. Buy your tickets: TIX
