John Craigie, Live From the Red Room

Tune in on Friday, April 27, at 8:00 PM EST for a live broadcast from The Red Room at Cafe 939 featuring John Craigie.

John Craigie is a singer-songwriter based out of Portland, Oregon. He’s renowned for his eloquent Americana style, engaging live shows, and off-the-cuff clever observations. He takes influence from classic songwriters of the past and adds his own touch. His fifth full-length album, No Rain, No Rose, boasted two collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov, namely “Highway Blood” and “I Am California.” “I Am California” quickly generated 500K Spotify streams and counting, and gained the attention of Jack Johnson. Johnson reached out to Craigie, and in the summer of 2017 they they toured together including stops at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California and The Gorge in Washington state.

The Stranger calls his music, “…the lovechild of John Prine and Mitch Hedberg with a vagabond troubadour edge.”

When Craigie plays, it’s one of those special shows that can make you laugh and cry in the same song. It’s a musical journey that can’t be denied.
