Elliot Taylor, BAERD & The Tree That Falls: Live from the Red Room, Saturday, July 22 at 7:00 pm on birnCORE

Elliot Taylor, who was named Sky TV’s best, unsigned live act, has a sound that is unrefined, soulful, and genuine. Taylor draws his lyrical inspiration from traveling the northern English countryside in his 1970 VW camper van, “Bessie.” He has also received BBC Radio 1 airplay and has been featured on several indie film soundtracks.

BAERD is a progressive folk band from Boston, Massachusetts. Founded at Berklee, the group draws influence from jazz, Americana, classical, R&B, and world music. BAERD’s lyricism and instrumental precision is inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Punch Brothers, and Radiohead. Their debut album, Progress, was released in 2016.

The Tree That Falls is a joint project between cellist Cristobal Cruz-Garcia and guitarist John Shafer. TTTF incorporates the modern fingerstyle technique for both guitar and cello while taking influences from a wide variety of world styles and genres.
